Syracusa의 절정인 두오모.
이태리 시칠리하면 Sicilian Baroque 가 섬의 동남쪽을 장악하고 있는데,
가는 곳보다 보이는 곳이 다 같은 건축양식의 교회들이라서
그 아름다움을 덜 감사하게 되는것 같다.
There are Sicilan Baroque churches everywhere in Sicily, so it's easy to take it for granted.
하지만 건물의 외벽부터도 섬세한 조각 양식들에 감탄이 절로 나오는데,
사실 실제로 보면 눈부신 밝은 빛의 돌들로 만들어진 것들이라서 더 감동이다.
But from the first sight from outer building, it is quite impressive with bright coloured stones they used to build it.
내부도 정말 화려해서, 구석구석 들여다보면 더욱 입이 벌어진다.
Interior is even more amazing, and it shows real beuty that Sicilan Baroque can offer. |

옆에서 기도하는 아줌마를 본 딸들이 따라한다며 저렇게 한참을 쭈그려 앉아 있는다.
The girls tried to copy the woman who was praying in the chaple.
나중에 루비가 그린 그림 중에 이게 있길래 뭐냐고 물었더니,
노란색이 촛불이고, 위에 그린 형상?이 바로 하나님이라고 한다.
뭐라고 기도했냐고 했더니, '배고픈 사람들 밥 주라고'...
자랑스럽다, 루비야! 감동의 눈물...흑.
Ruby drew this after visit to the church and explained that the yellow in the middle are candles, and the thing... up there is God.
She said 'I prayed that God gives food to the poor'.
언니 루비는 엄마에게 감동을 팍팍 날려주는 날이었지만,
동생 엘리는 교회안에서 뛰어다니고, 안보이는데로 혼자서 없어졌기에, 경고 세번 먹고 타임아웃에 들어갔다.
굉장히 슬프고 화난 표정으로 저렇게 3분을 앉아 있는데, 저 머리속에 무슨 생각일까..? 궁금하다.
